Make plans now to attend the September Quarterly meeting of your Potomac Chapter ISEE. Plans have been made for the 3rd Annual Potomac Chapter ISEE Sporting Clays & Pork BBQ event to be held on September 23rd beginning at 12 noon at the Chambersburg Rod & Gun Club, 3725 Warm Spring Rd, Chambersburg, PA 17202. The pork BBQ dinner will be served buffet style and be available the entire afternoon for your eating enjoyment. Thanks again to Mel Peck of C William Hetzer, Inc. for making our arrangements for our outing as well as the delicious Pork BBQ meal being provided by Kevin Knouse owner of BBQ Beef & Pig Rig.
After a brief gun safety course given by a club member of the Chambersburg Rod and Gun Club, a team of five individuals, which will include an experienced shooter, will shoot a round of 50 sporting clays which will be thrown from eight stations through a beautiful open field and wooded course. Following the sporting clays, a Wobble Trap event will be held where a total of 25 shots will taken from five different stations. Prizes for both events will be awarded, with the Lewis Class System will be used for scoring which gives every contestant an equal chance to win, no matter what their shooting ability. The earlier start has been planned to allow those interested to shoot the courses a 2nd time.
As a reminder of what you need to bring, typically 12 gauge shot guns are used with the semi-automatic, double barrel side by side or the trap over and under being the guns of choice. You’ll need a way to carry 50 rounds of ammo, a shooters vest or carpenter apron of some sort works just fine. Trap shot shells are being provided by Michael Pruss through Maxam North America. Thanks to Michael and Maxam for the donation of 2,500 shells. Bring along your safety glasses and hearing protection, they are both required on the course when shooting.

All sponsors will be recognized at the event. Shooting Station Sponsors will have a sign placed at a shooting station noting that the station was sponsored by their company.
If you’re a novice shooter, please don’t be intimidated, experienced shooters will accompany each team. Please believe me; you’re in for a great time and a wonderful afternoon!!!
